Folder structure

Inside the Q-Booth installation folder:

FolderContents
assets\Built-in assets: event themes, LUT filters, textures, videos, shared media and AI templates.
events\One subfolder per event, named after the Event ID. Holds the design, the database, the result and camera folders, and exported reports (reports\).
images\Global folders for results, camera shots and clipboard images.
settings\App configuration, interface state and the job database.
log\Log files for diagnostics.
backup\, exported_event\Event backups and exported events.
Note

The Event ID is fixed when the event is created and becomes its folder name, so it cannot be changed later. You can change where results and camera shots are saved in Settings › General, and add an EXTERNAL RESULT FOLDER per event for an extra copy.

Output ratios and resolutions

The event ratio should match the booth monitor's orientation. It sets the canvas of every design page and decides which overlay frame is used.

RatioResolution (px)Orientation
16:91920 × 1080Landscape
4:31920 × 1440Landscape
3:21920 × 1280Landscape
1:11920 × 1920Square
9:161080 × 1920Portrait
3:41440 × 1920Portrait
2:31280 × 1920Portrait
CustomFree size—
Tip

Make overlay PNGs at the same size as the ratio's resolution, with a transparent area where the photo shows through.

Guest flow at the booth

The pages a guest sees in a running event, in order:

  1. Welcome — the guest presses start.
  2. Survey — only if a survey is live.
  3. Category Picker — only when categories are shown As Standalone Page.
  4. Template Picker — the guest picks a style.
  5. Camera — countdown (if placed), capture and review.
  6. Input — only if the template asks for input.
  7. Processing — the result is being made.
  8. Result — print, email, QR or try again.
